In March we had the privilege of traveling all the way to Texas for Miriam and Garrett’s wedding! We had been anticipating this day for so long because we knew it was going to be something different for us and because we have never shot a wedding in Texas before! We started the trip by renting a big Dodge truck so we would fit in with the other Texans there and that was quite a change for us, but we loved pretending to be Texans for a couple of days! The wedding day started with Miriam and her girls getting ready in the heart of Forth Worth at the beautiful, Worthington Renaissance. They had the entire pent house to themselves where they sipped a very special bottle of sparkling wine that Miriam’s mother had secretly bought years ago on a trip to Europe. Every detail was so special and sentimental. Miriam’s love of vintage and chic created the perfect palette for her wedding day. The weather was so perfect and Garrett says it’s all thanks to the “Mississippi Prayer Groups” who were praying for good weather! The ceremony was officiated by Miriam’s brother who did the sweetest job of declaring these two as man and wife! The TCU Chapel is a very special place for both Miriam and Garrett. Garrett proposed at this very chapel and it was so sweet to see it all come full circle! The reception was about as fun as any could get! We knew Texans are always going to have a good time, but this reception was something special! They had the most amazing violinist who played while the DJ played and it was so much fun! They ended the night with their own private dance and with the most amazing fireworks exit! We will never forget our first Texas wedding and we are so thankful to have met Miriam and Garrett! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Ruoff! 🙂
