This wedding is so near & dear to my heart because it was my sweet cousin, Mary’s wedding! She is such a kind and beautiful person and I was truly honored when she asked me to come to Tennessee and photograph the big day.
Everything about Mary & Andrew’s wedding day was perfect, down to every detail! First of all, the beautiful venue, Dancing Bear Lodge was just amazing!! Y’all when I pulled up, I almost died and went to photographer heaven because it is that pretty there! Also, the staff was unbelievably nice and accommodating. Dylan & I actually stayed on the property the night before the wedding and we got to enjoy all of the things the property had to offer. We definitely plan on going back again!
The ceremony was officiated by my Uncle Bryan, who did a fantastic job, using beautiful words and scripture joining these two sweet souls together. I would say that this wedding was a big family effort because my Aunt Bena was the wedding co-ordinator who made sure every one was down the aisle on time! ( she’s good at that )
At the reception, everyone enjoyed a fantastic meal provided by Dancing Bear Lodge, ( those mashed potatoes though!! ) and some yummy cake! Mary & her Dad, are not big dancers, so instead, they looked through a memory book that had pictures of them through out the years. It was such a sweet moment, and I know neither of them are emotional people, but it was still a tear-jerker! Andrew & his sweet Mom danced and everyone cried (including me, I cry at every wedding..ask Dylan – sorry Dylan) as they danced and cried and held each other.
It was a beautiful, romantic and fun day! Dylan & I wish the very best for you two, and we hope you guys enjoy marriage as much as we do! We pray all of God’s blessings on your marriage and we love y’all!
– XOXO – Alex
